Practicing Temporarily under PSYPACT

To practice temporary, in-person face-to-face psychology under the authority of PSYPACT, you will need to apply for and obtain an Interjurisdictional Practice Certificate (IPC) from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB) and apply for and obtain a Temporary Authorization to Practice (TAP) from the PSYPACT Commission.

Using the "Start My Application" button below, you will be directed PSY|PRO (, ASPPB's online application management system. Please note that if you have ever requested an EPPP Score Transfer or applied for the CPQ or IPC in the past, you will already have a record in PSY|PRO. If you have not visited PSY|PRO before, please select "Register as a new user." If you have already registered as a new user or already have an account with ASPPB, please log in using your email and the password you previously established. If you no longer remember that password or have not logged in since February 2017, for security purposes, please select "Forgot my Password."

After logging in, select "Practicing Temporarily under PSYPACT" on the right navigation on your "My Activity Summary" page. By choosing this option, you will start your TAP/IPC applications. You will first complete your IPC application and will submit for review. IPC applications are reviewed by the ASPPB Mobility Committee. Upon receiving the IPC, a TAP application will immediately be started on your behalf. PSYPACT staff will be in contact with you to let you know you need to declare a Home State to practice under PSYPACT. After doing so, TAP applications are submitted for review by the PSYPACT Commission. Once the IPC and TAP have been obtained, psychologists can practice temporarily in any PSYPACT participating state* for up to 30 days per calendar year without having to obtain additional licenses.
